Lake Nona Ophthalmology is following CDC guidelines in regards to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and is taking precautions to prevent its spread. Our goal remains, as always, to provide you the best possible treatment for your healthcare needs. However, the safety of our employees and patients is our utmost concern.
In the video below, Chirag J. Patel, M.D., shares what he and his team are doing to help limit the spread of COVID-19 while still providing exceptional care to patients.
- Limiting the number of patients in our waiting room. We are asking patients to wait in their cars until they are ready to be seen.
- We are only taking patients directly to the examination rooms and sterilizing each room in between each visit
- All of our staff will be wearing personal protective equipment, including masks and gloves.
- Asking patients to reschedule non-emergent or non-essential appointments
- Requesting patients experiencing cold or flu-like symptoms such as cough, fever, and shortness of breath, or who have recently traveled to reschedule their appointments
